Princess Catharina-Amalia joins her parents at lavish gala

Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands has joined her parents for a gala for the Council of State at Palace Noordeinde in The Hague.
At the event on Wednesday, the future queen of the Netherlands was stunning in a midnight blue mermaid gown by Australian fashion designer Alex Perry.
It featured a square neckline and a trailing skirt with knotted detail and long sleeves. The royal completed her look with a diamond necklace and matching earrings.

The 20-year-old joined King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima for he occasion. 
Queen Maxima chose a light blue strapless Valentino gown with lace and chiffo ruffles first worn in 2011 for the wedding of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco. She added a matching shawl for this occasion.
Princess Catharina-Amalia and her younger sister Princess Alexia joined their parents the previous day for the annual opening of the parliamentary year.

For this event, Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a stunning emerald green cutout crepe cape dress by British designer Safiyaa, who is a favourite of the Princess of Wales.
Her younger sister Princess Alexia wore a read gown. King Willem-Alexander chose a day suit with light blue vest and tie.
Queen Maxima stunned in an ice blue A-line dress with asymmetrical drapery and a large bow on the shoulder, paired with a matching halo-style headpiece and an order ribbon with the Star of the Grand Cross of the Order of the Netherlands Lion.
King Willem-Alexander and his brother both wore tailcoats with grey waistcoats but the monarch added insignia of Knight of the Military Order of William, while Prince Constantijn wore a pin of the Grand Cross of the Order of the Netherlands Lion.

The couple’s youngest daughter Princess Ariane did not attend, likely because the 17-year-old is completing her secondary schooling in Italy.
After the King gave his address from the throne, the royals made the procession back to Noordeinde Palace in carriages for the balcony moment.
